Mee Goreng Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • Ingredients to be blended!
  • 20 Dried chillies
  • 1 large onion
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • Other ingredients:
  • 800 g Yellow noodles
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 300 g prawns (shelled)
  • 200 g Fishballs
  • 200 g Fishcake
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato sauce
  • Greens Kailan or sio pek chye. You can use beansprouts too
  • Salt See notes
  • Topping!
  • Spring onion/chives
  • Calamansi lime

Method
 

  1. Heat oil in work/frying pan.
  2. Saute blended ingredients till nice and fragrant.
  3. Add prawns and cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Mix in fishball and fishcake and continue cooking for a few more minutes.
  5. Add some water if it get too dry.
  6. Add oyster sauce and tomato sauce.
  7. Add noodles and mix well.
  8. Finally add greens and stir fry for a few more minutes.
  9. Top with spring onion and calamansi lime halves.

Notes

I used yellow noodles which already have salt in them, so I did not use any salt. If you are using other types of noodles, you might need to add salt.
