Fried Shrimp Balls

Ingredients
  

  • 400 g shelled and deveined shrimp
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp minced/grated garlic
  • 1/2 tsp minced/grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp chopped spring onion
  • 8 pieces spring roll wrapper cut into strips

Method
 

  1. In a food processor, add shrimp, ginger, garlic, light soy sauce, oyster sauce and sesame oil. Blend until it forms a paste.
  2. Transfer to a bowl and add pepper, cornflour, and spring onion.
  3. Take 1 heap tablespoon of the prawn paste and place it on a bed of spring roll strips. Coat the balls with the strips evenly. Trim if needed.
  4. Deep fry the shrimp balls until they turn golden brown, about 4-5 minutes. Dish out, drain on paper towels and serve hot with Thai sweet chili sauce or your favorite chili sauce.
