Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie, I ❤️ thee.
I need a smoothie maker and I am not referring to the kitchen appliance.
Yapp, I would love to have someone who would pass me a freshly made smoothie the moment I am out of bed, but since that is not going to happen for now, I have to move my butt, proceed to the kitchen and make my own smoothies. Luckily, smoothies are easy to make. If you have 5 minutes to spare, you can enjoy a smoothie every single day of your life. If you believe you do not have 5 minutes to spare, maybe you can watch less videos on YouTube or stop tweeting every single action of yours? The bottom line is, if you have time to post irrelevant content on Facebook (Read: check in some restaurant or stalk your ex’s Facebook), you definitely have time for a smoothie. And no, I am not talking from personal experience. ????
This Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie recipe is one of my favorites and it only uses FOUR INGREDIENTS! This is one smoothie that actually feels like you are having dessert. Frozen bananas when blended taste close to an ice cream, and it is best that you use frozen bananas for this recipe so that you get a really creamy and luscious smoothie.
You can add a whole lot of other delicious stuffs to this smoothie. (Read: Chocolate) I mean, who doesn’t love delicious chocolates, bananas, and peanut butter all in one sentence. You can obviously add other ingredients like flax seeds, chia or even oats to this smoothie. If you wanna go the other way, you can of course add Nutella to this smoothie. Who invented Nutella btw? That thing is wicked’ly delicious!!
This smoothie is not only super easy to make, but also it is also tamped with protein-rich ingredients that will provide the energy to keep your day going. Try this Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie for breakfast or an indulgent mid-day snack. Sometimes you need to fix a sweet tooth and a glass of this is perfect to give your tooth what it needs. I’ll go with two.
- 2 large bananas, frozen
- 2 cups cold milk of your choice (I used fresh milk. You can use almond milk too)
- ⅓ cup peanut butter (use ½ cup if you prefer a stronger peanut butter flavor)
- 2 tablespoons honey, or a sweetener of your choice (optional)
- ½ cup ice, if you prefer a thicker smoothie (Optional)
- Place bananas, milk, peanut butter, honey and ice if using, in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Serve immediately.
