Spaghetti Carbonara
  • 250 g spaghetti (Cookes as per instructions on packaging)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 clove garlic, chopped
  • Prawns (feel free to use as little or as much as you prefer)
  • ¼ cup water (the water that you used to boil the pasta)
  • ½ cup cream
  • 2 yolks, beaten
  • A handful of Parmesan
  • Chill flakes
  1. Heat oil in a large frying pan, saute garlic until tender.
  2. Add prawns. Once it turns pink, toss in pasta. Season with salt and black pepper.
  3. Add pasta water. In a bowl, whisk eggs and cream. Add a dash of salt and black pepper.
  4. Pour over pasta. Mix well and immediately turn off the fire.
  5. Top with Parmesan and some chili flakes if you prefer.
Omit the prawns and eggs for a vegetarian version. Would still taste yum! Promise.
